Its May 21st, this is LAGOS - RAPture: The EP

LAGOS whose real name is Sina AkinSola is a critically acclaimed rapper, street lyricist and songwriter. He was born on Lagos Island and raised in the infamous Masha/Shitta neighbourhood in Surulere. LAGOS is a backronym for Learnin' And Grindin' On Streets.
LAG wrote his first song in 1999 after which he recorded some songs for his first demo tape. He has recorded so many songs since then even before 2009 when he recorded his first official song titled Street Grammar.
In November 2010, LAGOS dropped LAGOS Wuz Ere, a mixtape that featured underground bangers like Acid Rain, Dark and Luvly, Street grammar pt. II and an unofficial remix of Konga's Kaba Kaba.
The follow-up to LAGOS Wuz Ere is RAPture: The EP. It is the second free project from LAGOS.
RAPture to the unsigned emcee means the end of unrecognised greatness and not the experience anticipated by some Christians, of meeting Christ midway in the air upon his return to earth.
RAPture features a true-to-life song titled "What I need"; two hardcore songs "Too many rappers" and "In the Streets"; a dance track titled "Shake" and an old song he recorded years back titled "Miss Nigeria".
All the songs written and composed by Sina "LAGOS" AkinSola and produced, mixed and mastered by Coldflames for Flaming Media, Magodo, Lagos.
LAGOS is a free-agent currently working on the sequel to RAPture which is a yet to be titled debut album to be released next year.

May 21st; My View!

May 21st as 'rumoured' by Family Radio is said to be the day of the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ which signifies the rapture while October 21st is said to be the day that the world will come to an end. They claimed to have derived this date from the 'Biblical Calender' and they backed up their claims with verses from the bible.
In their book title 'We are almost there', they claimed that both the judgement day and the end of the world's date were revealed by the bible and according to them, Gods words were sealed and kept away from the eyes of men not until now. They backed these up by quoting Daniel 12:4 'But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased' and also Daniel 12:9 'And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end' and since it is now the time of the end, they believed that God has open up his words and he has revealed some informations to the righteous, through the biblical calender. They said 'The Lord has opened up His people’s understanding to the “Biblical calendar” found on the pages of the Bible. They also claimed that the Bible’s calendar of history is completely accurate and trustworthy'.
It is so amazing how these people have used mathematics to solve the bible and how they derived the dates of rapture and also end of the world. (For further details of the figures and calculations used to derive these dates, please follow these link http://www.mafaba.com/2011/05/may-21st-figures-and-calculations.html).

MY VIEW
As they always say, 'Once beaten, twice shy'. Bearing in mind what our teachers told us when we were kids, that 'we are the leaders of tomorrow' and since we know that its either they lied to us or tomorrow is yet to come. The question now is, Should we believe the words/ teachings coming from family radio? or are we just being like those who never believed the words of Noah and instead mocked him until the rain started and consequently wiped them off?
One thing I believe is that 'it is better to live like there is a God and later find out that there is no God than to live like there is no God and later find out that there is a God.
See you all on May 22nd; The Morning After!
