Upcoming act; LAGOS ft Kay-Ara (Freestyle)

LAGOS (Learnin' And Grindin' On Streets) is an emerging and unsigned rapper who released a seminal mixtape (LAGOS Wuz Ere) and a video (Dark and Luvly) to back it up last year.
Here is a new song from him in form of a freestyle alongside a Ghanian MC who goes by the name Kay-Ara.
LAGOS is currently working on a mixtape titled RAPture which will be released on the 21st of May, 2011.

I can't really remember how I came about this little poem but all I can remember is that it has always been on my little mind since the '90s and I guess it should be one of those little works of mine that got me carried away during classes or preps! Lolz!

All they have being saying is 'a touch of RED' and I guess a 'menstrual-stained' white trouser or a 'red eye' like that of Rihanna after Chris Brown's 'panel beating' won't be over looked as one.

What's in the Air? Love! And as Val's day draw nearer, some relationships are getting stronger, while some are experiencing crisis. A lot of guys are now getting busier by the day, claiming to be facing challenges at their place of work while gurls who only 'flash' their boyfriend or just wait for him to call have suddenly realize the need to constantly keep in touch by calling at least 3 times a day as if its 3 course meal, some even add deserts to the 'call meal' by sending messages ahead of the call. Kudos to MTN who have made it simple and easy by eliminating the famous excuse; "I have got no credit" by introducing 'Magic Number'. I hope they will by that introduce a surprise 'Magic Carpet' on Val's day which will take lovers for a free weekend in Vegas! (Dreams do come true and I will be the winner) *Big Grin*.

Recently, while I was talking with a friend of mine about Val's and how I have never really been involved in the celebration, she was quick to react in a way that shows she didn't believe me, so i wasted no time in letting her know that all through my life, I can only remember two (2) Feb 14.

Did you just say 2 in disbelieve? Anyway, I can only remember 2 February 14 in my life and I guess this one will make it the 3rd but this gonna be a story for another day.

As I was saying, so many gurls right now are confused, they no longer know where they belong 'cos their boyfriends are doing anyhow, little wonder why so many relationship status on Facebook are being changed to 'its complicated' and so many guys are kindda happy about the turn of events especially with the recent law imposed by the CBN on banks.

Guys, am not so sorry to say this but gurls, here is a word of advice for you. Please and please, when your boyfriend says "darling, I cant seem to access my bank account based on the recent information update at the bank", I beg u, do not get angry or you can get angry but please don't let it show on your face, just smile and say "Sweet love, this is val's day and we are meant to exchange gifts but since it wont be possible betweet us now, I won't like to feel cheated, therefore, I will be willing to exchange gifts with the other guy down the road and probably go for #theLoveAliveConcert which is a mini-show that brings together celebs, lovers and friends all around in celebration of the realness of love at TymeOut Lounge with him by 6pm and more so, its just 2k so he wont be spending too much". Remember to also tell him that once you are back, you will have enough time to discuss about his bank account. LDKMDFH!!

BTW, if St. Val's was to be alive right now, he will definitely refuse to be associated with a day like Feb 14 popularly known as St. Valentines day (Val's day), a day to show love not only to those close to us but to all those around us. Nowadays, Vals day is simply known as Lovers day, a day for a guy to dig further into his bank account and lavish it on the gurl with the hope that he will be compensated in the corner of a room at the end of the day. This reminds me of a broadcast I got recently which goes thus;

"The Federal Ministry of Finance has warned that any guy that form broke in
order to evade spending on February 14 (Vals day) will die broke and likewise,
the Federal Ministry of Health has warned that any gurl who claim to be on her
period on the said date will bleed to death".

Hummm......... what else can I say? *SMBH* for 'Vals day lovers' #EnofSaid!!

When I was a kid, I used to know the meaning of true love but right now, I doubt if I know the meaning of 'Love' not to talk of the 'true' in front of it. One thing I know about love nowadays is that 'Love is materialistic and bodilistic'. Love now behaves like a China product which after acquisition, you have to keep spending money on it else 'the end' will come knocking.

You all will agree with me that a guy who claim to love a gurl and fails to meet her material needs is simply a joker, an hungry lion looking for whom to devour, while a gurl who refuses to satisfy her boyfriend 'bodily' is simply a fake ass 'oshofree' master looking for whom to call a maga. But a relationship founded on both material things and body stunts will definately last as long as those things lasted and once exhausted, the termination of the 'lover's contract' is inevitable.

Little wonder why the first half of february always record the highest level of breakups, the reason for this is not far fetched and it can be found in 2 equations;

1) Monkey + Money = Honey

2) Love(Material things + Body stunts) = Love Made in China and it comes with No Warranty, No Guarantee!

So people, please check the receipt of the relationship you're in and if you've got No Warranty and or No Guarantee, then its made in China!!
